Leaking roofs? Condensation will form on the underside of hessian reinforced bitumen or mono sarking (felt). Condensation dampness of this type is becoming more and more common in homes today. with our preference of warmth, warm air being able to hold more water vapour than cold air.
Just as it has always done water vapour from the house will permeate through the ceiling with inadequate vapour control and will condensate on the underside of the felt. Instead of the excessive vapour evaporating through the draughty roof-space it drips on to the insulation and ceiling below.
It is imperative that the correct repairs are undertaken to save on expensive unnecessary costs.
