This image of damage is caused by leaking roof and salt contamination.
The customer was in the early strip-out stages of a new kitchen instal in Cheltenham. When removing the wall units and backing panels the kitchen fitters were faced with severe damp and salt laden plaster falling from the wall. The challenges with this project were to:-.
- Deal with structural timbers built in to a wet wall.
- Different varieties of plaster applied at different times.
- Corroded electrical boxes.
- Time frame.
In the duration of 3 days and working alongside the other trades, we removed the contaminated wall plaster, fitted a vented membrane (tanking) and re-plastered the walls, providing a sound dry wall surface ready to receive the new kitchen and decoration.
Another smooth running project with trained and experience staff we were able to move rather quickly over the weekend and provide a long term solution and repairs with the kitchen fitter only missing one day work
